Spellbreak Community Edition - Play Guide

Welcome, Battlemage, to the Brokenlands! This README will guide you on how to get started with Spellbreak Community Edition, how to host games, and where to find useful console commands.

Installation
There is no traditional installation process for Spellbreak Community Edition. Simply copy the entire game folder onto your computer. Once copied, the game is ready to be played!

About the Game
Spellbreak Community Edition is a vibrant, magic-focused battle royale (and other modes) where you cast powerful spells, combine elemental abilities, and master tactical movement to outwit and outplay your opponents. This Community Edition preserves the beloved gameplay and allows players to continue the fight!

Elemental Spellcasting: Wield powerful gauntlets that grant you elemental abilities (Fire, Ice, Lightning, Stone, Toxic, Wind). Each gauntlet has a primary and secondary attack.
Spell Combos: Combine different elemental spells for devastating effects (e.g., throwing a Toxic Cloud into a Fireball for an explosion). Mastering these combos is key to victory.
Rune Abilities: Discover runes that grant powerful movement or utility abilities, such as Flight, Teleportation, Featherfall, and more.
Classes & Talents: Choose a class that enhances a specific gauntlet type and equip talents to further customize your playstyle.
Fast-Paced Combat: Engage in highly vertical and skill-based combat, utilizing your movement abilities to traverse the environment and dodge incoming spells.
Community Hosted: This edition relies on community-hosted servers, allowing players to create and join their own matches.
Hosting a Game
Spellbreak Community Edition empowers you to host your own matches! Detailed instructions on how to set up and host a game are provided in the included PDF documents:

Look for PDF files such as How to Host.pdf, Hosting Guide.pdf, or similar documents within the game's main directory. These files contain comprehensive steps and troubleshooting tips for setting up your own server.

Console Commands
For advanced control and customization, Spellbreak Community Edition includes a console where you can input commands. A reference guide for these commands is also provided:

Look for PDF files such as Console Commands Reference.pdf or similar documents within the game's main directory. These documents list available commands and their usage, which can be useful for hosting, debugging, or custom game scenarios.

Adjusting Settings
To optimize your Spellbreak Community Edition experience:

Launch the Game: Start Spellbreak Community Edition using StartGame.bat.
Options/Settings Menu: Once in the game, navigate to the "Options" or "Settings" menu.
Video/Display Settings:
Resolution: Set this to your monitor's native resolution for the sharpest image.
Graphics Quality: Adjust settings like "Texture Quality," "Shadows," "Effects Quality," and "View Distance" to balance visual fidelity with performance. Spellbreak's vibrant art style is still great even on lower settings.
Frame Rate Limit: Set this to match your monitor's refresh rate or higher if your system allows.
Field of View (FOV): Adjust this to your preference. A higher FOV can give better situational awareness.
