Blur Racing Installer

Blur Racing - Installation and Play Guide

Welcome, Racer, to the neon-drenched streets of Blur! This README will guide you through the installation process, how to configure your game for optimal play, and provide essential information about its unique racing and combat mechanics.

Installation Guide
Installing Blur Racing is simple:

Locate the Installer: In the game directory, find the installation batch file named Install Blur.bat.
Run as Administrator: Right-click on Install Blur.bat and select "Run as administrator." This is crucial for the installation to complete successfully and for the game to function properly.
Follow On-Screen Prompts: The installer will guide you through the rest of the setup process.
First Launch & Skipping Login
When you launch Blur for the first time, the game might attempt to connect to its original online servers.

You can skip or cancel any attempts to log in or create an account for Blur servers. These official services are no longer active although Amax servers are enabled with this version.
Bypassing the login prompt will allow you to access the game's main menu and all its features (including single-player, local multiplayer, and custom servers).
About the Game
Blur is a unique arcade racing game that combines thrilling street racing with explosive vehicular combat. It's known for its stunning visuals, power-up mechanics, and high-energy multiplayer action.

Combat Racing: Beyond pure speed, success in Blur relies on intelligently using collectible power-ups to attack opponents, defend yourself, and gain an advantage.
Power-Ups Galore: Master a diverse arsenal of offensive and defensive power-ups like Shunt, Bolt, Mine, Barge, Shield, and Repair. Each has unique uses and tactical implications.
Destructible Environments: Race through vibrant, detailed urban and off-road environments, with interactive elements and shortcuts.
Single-Player Career: Progress through a challenging career mode, competing in various race types, defeating rivals, and earning fans.
Multiplayer Focus: Blur shines in its multiplayer, offering intense head-to-head races and chaotic battle modes.
Recommended In-Game Settings
To get the best experience in Blur, we recommend adjusting a few settings:

Launch the Game: Start Blur using StartGame.bat.
Navigate to Settings: From the main menu, go to "Options" or "Settings."
Keyboard Layout 2:
Go to the "Controls" section.
Select "Keyboard Layout 2". This layout generally provides a more intuitive and effective control scheme for power-up usage and steering.
Max Out Graphics Settings:
Go to the "Graphics" or "Display" section.
Set all available graphics options (Resolution, Texture Quality, Shadow Quality, Effects Quality, Anti-Aliasing, etc.) to their highest possible settings. Blur looks fantastic when maxed out.
Ensure your Resolution matches your monitor's native resolution for the sharpest image.
Recommended Mod Shop Loadouts (Multiplayer LAN/Online)
Once you are connected to a LAN multiplayer server (or an online server via https://www.google.com/search?q=amax-emu.com), you can customize your Mod Shop loadouts for strategic advantage.

While in the lobby or a game setup, press Right Shift to access the Mod Shop.

Select and edit Loadout 1.

Apply the following recommended mod shop loadouts based on the game mode from within the game lobby (right sift):

For Race Servers:

Front Runner: You receive a Nitro for every lap you complete.
Magnetic Field: You can pick up Power-ups from further away.
Bribe: Get a random Power-up at the start as well as each time you respawn after being Wrecked.
For Battle Servers:

Titanium Armor: Your vehicle takes half damage from standard power-up attacks.
Safety Net: Any Power-up that hits you while your Shield is active repairs a small amount of damage.
Vampiric Wreck: Repairs your vehicle each time you Wreck an opponent.
Experiment with these and other mods to find what suits your playstyle!

Known Host Bug
Please be aware of an old bug if you are hosting a multiplayer game:

Pressing ESC during a match can sometimes trigger the next round to start, acting like the F1 key (which is typically used to ready up for the next round). Be mindful of this when pausing or navigating menus as a host.
Online Multiplayer (via https://www.google.com/search?q=amax-emu.com)
This version of Blur is configured to allow online multiplayer through the community server emulator at https://www.google.com/search?q=amax-emu.com. The necessary files to connect to this service have already been copied into the game directory by the installation batch file.

To connect to the https://www.google.com/search?q=amax-emu.com servers and play online, follow these steps:

Login with your Discord account:

Open this link in your web browser: https://discord.com/oauth2/authorize?client_id=827373170293342239&redirect_uri=https://amax-emu.com/api/auth/callback&scope=identify%20email&response_type=code
Authorize the application using your Discord account.
Create an Amax Emu (in-game) account:

Open this link in your web browser: https://amax-emu.com/register
Create your Amax Emu username and password.
Login into Amax Emu from within the game:

Launch Blur using StartGame.bat.
Once in the game, navigate to the multiplayer section and select the option to log in to Amax Emu using your newly created Amax Emu username and password.
Enjoy Blur like it is 2010 again!

Starting the Game
After the installation is complete, the recommended way to start the game is by running StartGame.bat. You'll find this file in the main game directory.

For convenient access, we strongly advise creating a shortcut to StartGame.bat on your desktop.
